炭道庵とはConcept
地球と私達の暮らしには“土と空気と水“は、必要なものです。
どれが欠けても生きてはいけません。
“炭“は、酸化したこの大地をアルカリ性に変え、汚染された大気を洗浄する深緑の森を育て、ひいては瑞々しい「命の水」をもたらしてくれるのです。
その優れた力を持つ天然素材を“置いておくだけ”から、おしゃれに飾る、
それも「魅力あるアートとして」を心がけ制作しています。
“Soil, air, and water” are necessary for the earth and our lives.
We cannot live without any of them.
“Charcoal” turns this oxidized earth into alkaline, grows a deep green forest that cleanses the polluted air, and in turn brings us the fresh “water of life.” We create products using natural materials that have excellent power so that they can be used not only to be left alone, but also to be displayed in a fashionable way, or as attractive pieces of art.

Tandouan has a café serving coffee and sweets made with charcoal. The shop is also used as a atelier, so you can enjoy charcoal art. We also look forward to seeing you with gift sets and charcoal candies that make great souvenirs.

講師紹介Teacher
武蔵野美術大学デザイン科卒業。環境保全運動を通じて炭と出会う。1999年8月、東京・恵比寿に「炭道庵」をオープン。各種カルチャースクールで炭アート製作の講師も務める。2002年に国際芸術文化賞受賞（日本文化振興会）。
ミラノ・ニューヨークで作品を展示するなど日本だけでなく世界でも注目されるアーティストである。
Graduated from Musashino Art University, Department of Design. She encountered charcoal through the environmental conservation movement. In August 1999, she opened “Tandouan” in Ebisu, Tokyo, and has been teaching charcoal art making at various culture schools. In 2002, she received the International Art and Culture Award from the Japan Arts Council. She has exhibited her works in Milan and New York, and is a remarkable artist not only in Japan but also in the world.
